Footballing genius, icon, national hero and controversial character. Maradona is widely regarded as the best player of all time after leading Argentina to World Cup glory in 1986. He was born on 30 October 1960 and raised in the slum of Villa Fiorito on the outskirts of the Federal Capital of Buenos Aires.
