Museo a Cielo Abierto in the district of San Miguel in Santiago de Chile is one of the best places in the country to see street art with more than 30 murals measuring 85 m2 each in one place, as Matt Fox-Tucker of BA Street Art discovered.
Roa, PichiAvo, Defo, Jen Zie and Martin Ron finished new artworks at the North West Walls project on the site of the Rock Werchter music festival in Belgium. The project was curated by Belgian artist Arne Quinze setting the artists the challenge of painting three giant container towers.
Argentine street artist Martin Ron is in Belgium and has just completed this huge 3-D artwork on the side of a container tower as part of the North West Walls project on the site of the Rock Werchter music festival. Ron’s surreal design, featuring a parrot, a giant head and a monkey nut, covers an area of 205m2 on the sides of seven shipping containers and took him nine days to complete. ROA finished a stunning new mural in the Wynwood Arts District in Miami this evening. It features an armadillo curling up in a ball. Matt from BA Street Art is in Miami and hooked up with ROA today and took these photos.
Chichester Street Art festival took place a few weeks ago in England with some world famous street artists painting at numerous sites around the city. BA Street Art was in the UK last week and went down there to check out the new artworks.
Dulwich Street Art Festival took place a few weeks ago in South London with street artists painting a series of public murals around the town inspired by artworks held by Dulwich Picture Gallery. Artists taking part included Roa, Nunca, Run, Mad C, Phelgm, Hitnes Reka, Thierry Noir, Dscreet,, Mad C, Kid Acne. and Zezao.
