Jorge Pomar paints sky mural in Chacarita, Buenos Aires

Argentine artist Jorge Pomar finished painting a giant eye-catching sky mural in Chacarita a few weeks ago. Photos by Buenos Aires Street Art.

The artwork adorns the facade of a 10-story building in Chacarita. The owner of the next door fish restaurant was frustrated at not being able to see the sky from his workplace and commissioned Jorge to bring the wall to life.

The mural is entitled ‘Espejo Ladrillo Reflejo’ that translates as ‘Mirror Brick Reflection’. It measures 24 x 27 metres  andcreated by Jorge and a team of artists using acrylic paint and textured paint on the concrete wall surface.

The mural, as well as featuring clouds and sky, also features bricks painted on to the wall to give the impression of peering at the sky between the different floor slabs and walls made of brick.

The new mural can be seen from the corner of Juan Ramirez de Velasco and Bonpland in Chacarita.

Anchoita fish restaurant is located at Juan Ramirez De Velasco 1520.
