Celebrating the murals of Argentine street artist Tamara Djurovic aka Hyuro

The street art world has been mourning the passing of Tamara Djurovic, also known by her artist’s name Hyuro.

Hyuro died at her home in Valencia, Spain on Thursday. She was born in Argentina and later moved to Valencia where she started out painting walls in 2009 after meeting Spanish street artist Escif.

Hyuro became known for her figurative style with themes in her murals often relating to the role of women in society.

Hyuro has also returned to Argentina on a number of occasions and found time to paint murals in Buenos Aires.

In recent years, she has also painted large scale murals around the world as well as all over her home city of Valencia.
