Over recent weeks, anti-consumerist graffiti on advertising billboards in Buenos Aires has become an increasing common sight. The craze known as culture-jamming, whereby billboards and posters are defaced to alter their meaning and message, seems to be catching on particularly around Palermo, Villa Crespo and Chacarita.
Colombian street artists Seta Fuerte and Deen have just completed a brilliant giant piece in San Telmo. The pair finished the piece yesterday. It accompanies a cool new hip hop video of the new track by Ali aKa Mind and DJ Destroy.

Street artists spent Saturday afternoon painting panels in Parque Patricios as part of the Arte Patricios two-day urban art event. The artworks were hung on a fence surrounding the construction site of a new bank that is being built by the British architects Foster and Partners. As well as artists from the city of Buenos Aires, the likes of Luxor, Acra, Caos and Malatesta from La Plata and Chaman from Mar del Plata were also taking part.

Twenty five artists took part in the San Martin graffiti competition on Sunday and spent the afternoon painting a huge wall in San Martin in the Province of Buenos Aires. First prize went to Madxis from Junin for this spectacular piece.
More than 20 street artists took part in a live painting event at the Museo de Bellas Artes Férnan Félix de Amador de Luján at the weekend and their finished paintings are now on show in the museum.
