Alfredo Segatori has transformed a newspaper kiosk to complement his spectacular murals that adorn an historic hotel on the corner of Avenida de Mayo and Avenida 9 de Julio. Photos by Buenos Aires Street Art.

El Pelado has decorated the news stand with images depicting some typical everyday Argentine activities such as drinking Quilmes beer, eating fast food and smoking.

El Pelado painted his original artworks on the walls of the Hotel D’Arc ten years ago. The luxury hotel, which dates from 1894, has welcomed distinguished guests such as Theodore Roosevelt and architect Le Corbusier in the past.

It has laid empty for 30 years until reopening last month under the new name La Fresque.
