Pelado was working on his latest mural near the Hippodrome on Sunday that features a portrait of Carlos Gardel and jockey Irineo Leguizamo and one of his racehorses named ‘Lunático’. The Argentine tango legend was a big horse racing fan and would spend many afternoons at the racetrack in Buenos Aires. Alfredo Segatori’s mural also features a series of eyes and a mouth that relate to the spectators and frenzy of race-goers who lay bets at the track.
