Buenos Aires Street Art is proud to present our exciting new project that will transform an area of Villa Urquiza in Buenos Aires into one of the most stunning street art locations in the city. The first stage of the Villa Urquiza Art District project is to create a spectacular mural next to Blu’s 2007 masterpiece. Argentine street artist Martin Ron has taken up the challenge.

The Villa Urquiza Art District project was the idea of Buenos Aires Street Art founder Matt Fox-Tucker and has taken a long time to come together. “We´re so excited about the project,” said Matt. “Martin is painting a truly fantastic artwork next to a mural by Blu. The zone has a lot of great street art and graffiti and we organize street art tours in this area, and the idea with this new mural by Martin Ron is that Villa Urquiza will become one of the best if not the best neighbourhood in Buenos Aires to see street art.”

The four-storey building is 14 metres high and 25 metres long and the project also includes a 20 metres by 3.1 metres high wall that will also form part of the mural.

Martin has already started work on his new design and says his new mural will have a similar visual impact as the flying sea turtle he painted at Meeting of Styles 2012 in Buenos Aires.
