Mitch is an international street artist from Perth, Western Australia who has painted murals in countries such as Mexico, USA, Vietnam and the West Indies. He was visiting the Argentine capital this month and found time to create this new artwork in Coghlan.

He told Buenos Aires Street Art that the mural is entitled ‘Sky Head’ inspired by the song ‘Blue Sky in Your Head’ vy the Lighthouse Family and relates to one’s perception of reality.

The mural is also inspired by Alice in Wonderland and features a dream-like world inside her head with a natural landscape with a river, trees and a blue sky.

Mitch was also joined on his trip to Australia by wife Ita who is also an artist and it was great hanging out with them.

Was also a new experience seeing Mitch use a Meta Quest headset that many street artists are now using to help them with scaling, sketching and transferring designs to the wall via mixed reality.

Was also great seeing so many local residents enjoying meeting Mitch and Ita and seeing the mural take shape while also trying out the sketching goggles.
