Street artists have painted new murals around Yerba Buena, Tucumán featuring nature, animals and sports that are popular in the region. Photos by Buenos Aires Street Art.

The project supported by Municipalidad de Yerba Buena saw local artists including Ruido (Vero Corrales & Fer Gallucci), Coche, Cuore, Sioner, Ana Singh and Ignacio Stesina paint five new murals around the district that reflect nature, local animals and activities enjoyed by the local residents and visitors.

This water tank (above) at Escuela de Comercio Miguel Lillo was transformed by Ruido with their artwork featuring a series of ‘horneros’ which are the national bird of Argentina and can be found all around Tucumán. They are well known for building beautiful nests that looks like small houses out of mud and twigs.

Loma Bola is a paragliding resort near San Javier, a few kilometres outside the city of San Miguel de Tucumán. It is considered as one of the best places in South America for paragliding and offers panoramic views of the valley, the Yungas, and the city.

Ignacio Stesina painted a mural just of Avenida Perón featuring paragliding, abseiling and parachuting which are popular outdoor activities around Cerro San Javier. Other popular sports are mountain biking, hiking and cross country running.

Percy Hill Botanical Garden in Yerba Buena is a nature reserve measuring about two hectares that is home to more than 20 species of trees as well as native plants and flowers, different butterflies, birds and animals.

Artist Ana Singh together with neighbours painted a series of murals on the walls of the nature reserve featuring birds, trees, plants and flowers that can be found there.
