The wall measuring 37 x 5.5 metres took the trio a month to paint and was hard work. “Sometimes when you paint in the street you can encounter a few problems but when you are painting high walls with a lot of detail, it can be even more complicated,” explained Poeta. “What made it difficult was the logistics and using ladders. The ideal situation would be to have a crane or be able to put scaffolding over the whole wall.”

Poeta said the three were clearly happy with the results. “To have the power to convert or change a wall like this is incredible. We took away the grey to make a beautiful wall with such an incredible amount of colours. It’s a wall where there are a lot of things going on and it makes you think when you look at it.”

“There were some days that all of us were painting but with a wall this big, it’s difficult to arrange things so the three of were all working together at the same time,” added Poeta. “A wall of this size always presents you with challenges but the best thing about it was working in a group and the different stages you go through together to finish it.”
